MARINE
Juice Lithium Ion batteries were originally designed specifically for the challenges of the marine market. Marine installations are somewhat different to other applications in the fact that often batteries are charged via an engine alternator which can add complications to the installation, and secondly, modern vessels are reliant on a continuity of energy for safety, and to keep a vessel operational. Juice Li-Ion batteries have been designed to have completely independent control over both the load and charge sources on the battery. This will preclude the vessel going into black ship from a simple charging issues as well as avoiding a load dump from any connected engine alternators. These events are a typical occurrence in systems that have a single contactor that controls both load and charge sources together.
On the other hand if the battery is at a low state of charge, the battery will be able to remove the load (after multiple pre alarms) while keeping the charge sources connected. Therefore no manual override of contactors is required to allow the battery to be recharged.
Juice Li-Ion batteries are ideal for house/service battery applications, or battery banks that have high current loads. Their exceptional long life, compact size, low weight and speed of recharge make them an ideal choice in marine applications.
